The American Staffing Association announced that HMG Plus service professional Wendy Hobbie is the 2017 National Staffing Employee of the Year.
HMG Plus is a New York City based hospitality staffing firm that specializes in exceptional front of house staff. Help us congratulate HMG Plus service professional Wendy Hobbie on receiving this prestigious honor!
Wendy Hobbie has been a valued employee of HMG Plus since 2014. She works on assignment as a hospitality captain, waiter, and bartender. The flexibility that staffing offers allows her to audition and teach dance to blind and deaf children. She currently volunteers at The Lexington School and Center for the Deaf, teaching hip-hop dance to students aged three to 12. Between gigs as a professional dancer, Hobbie also has taught Sunday school to underprivileged students in low-income neighborhoods through Metro World Child, a religious organization committed to providing services to children living in adverse conditions in metropolitan areas around the world.
“I am honored to be the National Staffing Employee of Year, and hope that my personal story is inspiring to others considering work as a temporary or contract employee,” Hobbie said. “Being a temporary employee is perfect for me at this time in my life. Staffing lets me support myself financially while pursuing my professional dreams and s+ing my passion for dance with visually and hearing impaired children, which means the world to me.”
HMG Plus is extremely proud of Wendy and her accomplishments, in and outside of HMG Plus. She will be formally honored and celebrated by staffing industry professionals from around the country on Oct. 26 at a recognition ceremony during Staffing World® 2016, in San Diego, California.
